I have designed and constructed podcast studios, managed A/V and live streaming setups for platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, and possess extensive experience working with Sony and Canon camera systems.
Conference Recording
B2BSMX was my first-ever speaking engagement that I recorded - and I did it solo. This was a great learning experience for me, as I learned what I needed to record the event properly by talking with the A/V staff on site, and got to talk with the event organizer about best practices for the goals I was trying to achieve.
Another solo project: this time flying across the entire country with the CEO. This time, however, I was entirely more prepared than the last time. Not just with better equipment, but the RIGHT equipment, I recorded a live DGL session out of his hotel room, a vlog as he went through his day, and the event itself without a hitch. I contacted the event organizer weeks beforehand to get approval to record, and then met with her the day before Chris was set to speak in order to ask questions and get on the same page. I also collaborated with the on-site A/V staff to plug my own recorder into their soundboard and they helped me troubleshoot this process. The event went extremely well and I broke the actual speech iinto an additional trailer, long form for YouTube, and microvideos for Linkedin and TikTok
Another speaking engagement, this time not alone. I had recently interviewed and helped hire the next video producer for Refine Labs, who was also tasked to this project. Chris and the new hire are based in Austin, so they traveled and recorded a vlog together. In contrast to Traffic and Conversion, my only responsibility was ensuring the event capture went smoothly, and after meeting with the event organizers and A/V staff the day before to confirm, I was able to set up without a hitch, without any hiccups due to the past two events I had done. This speaking engagement was then turned into a long-form video for YouTube, and microvideos were edited for Linkedin and TikTok.
